Update on Windfields Farm Oshawa

----------------------------------------------------------------

There is a battle going on by a core of people trying to save Windfields Farm as a heritage site. They are gathering a lot of on-line, social media support. If you get a chance check out their facebook site and links to websites in support of this great cause. It was front page news this week in the local newspaper. I didn't get to visit Windfields until 2006 but went back twice more. I would love to take my grandkids to visit a museum somewhere down the road.

Dubai World Cup Day 2012

-----------------------------------------------

Well, I almost forgot about it but got home just in time to catch the opening ceremonies and the last 5 races of the night from the Meydan course in Dubai. Northern Dancer descendants finished in the top 3 spots of every one of the 7 races I covered here (21 for 21) - not too shabby considering the quality of International fields. The Dancer grandkids came from 6 different countries on 3 different continents. Some great images from Geety's Karim Sahib and Marwan Naamani.
